Abstract
Pulmonary TB disease is a disease that requires a long period of treatment, and is easily transmitted to others in the surrounding environment. The impact of prolonged and continuing therapy and requiring long periods of time results in physical and psychological changes and even changes in self-esteem, one factor on self-esteem is the support of the family. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of family support with the self-esteem of TB patients based on literature review. The method of this research was literature review using google schoolar search engine and proquest as many as 2071 articles, of which 10 articles are obtained that fit the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The existence of family support can provide motivation to sufferers in the form of information, emotional, assistance so that it can motivate the healing process of the disease. The self-esteem of pulmonary TB patients can increase with the provision of family supportive psychoeducation and therapy, and therapeutic communication. Therefore, nurses should be able to improve the quality of life of pulmonary TB patients who can be done by nurses through health education about the price of pulmonary TB patients by involving their families.
